This is also quite elegant and very pretty with its essence of red cherry, anise and red carnation-scented nose. On the palate there isn't nearly the same density to the middle weight flavors that come up slightly short on the bitter chocolate-inflected finale that could use more depth. This may come together with a few years of keeping but for the moment, it's less well-balanced and promising than the best of these 1ers.

One of the fuller colours and with a gorgeous bouquet, complex and with a superb sensuality built on top of a backbone with adequate tannins that are fully covered by the fruit. This is absolutely delicious, yet with a discipline for the longer term.
