Robert Parker (93)

The 2015 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Chatelots has a crisp and precise bouquet, here, a mixture of red and black fruit with a floral element, hints of crushed violet surfacing with time in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with a velvety texture, a silver bead of acidity, veins of blood orange struck through the red cherry and crushed strawberry fruit, the openness on the finish belying the structure underneath. This is just superb.

Rather severe and tough at the moment. It will presumably turn into a swan but it's quite demanding at present.

Burghound (91)

This is cooler and slightly more aromatically restrained with its airy combination of essence of plum, purple fruit, violet and anise nuances. There is less richness but more refinement to the attractively detailed medium-bodied flavors that possess good mid-palate fat that buffers the dusty and moderately firm tannic spine. This is also a seductive Chambolle but slightly finer.
