Richard Kelley MW: Polished. Very deep appearance, not unlike an old Armagnac. Orange/ copper.
Very rich on the nose with a raisin-like character. Great concentration and complexity with notes
of orange marmalade.
Highly textured on entry. Surprisingly fresh, with the mid-palate acidity carrying the wine through to a persistent finish.
This is still very much in its infancy and could be expected to age and evolve for many decades to come. It appears
a much more modern expression of wines emerging from the Layon.
It also reminds me
of a Riesling SGN from Alsace.
