The 2015 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Garenne has an attractive bouquet: red apple, pear drop and citrus fruit, reserved but growing in stature in the glass. The palate is fresh and vibrant with a clean line of acidity, fresh and crisp with a tensile, understated finish that has class. This is a well-crafted Puligny, if not quite up there with last year's 2014.
