Robert Parker (94)

The 2023 Chambertin Grand Cru (Maison Louis Jadot) reveals aromas of plums, berries, orange rind and espresso roast, followed by a medium to full-bodied, sweet and spicy palate with an ample core of fruit and soft structuring tannins.

Vinous (94)

The 2023 Chambertin Grand Cru has an open nose with crushed strawberry, orange peel and light spicy/figgy scents. This reflects the season's warmth just a little, especially in juxtaposition to the Clos-de-Bèze. The palate is medium-bodied and shows some reduction, quite solid with decent grip and judiciously spiced—though it does not fan out like the aforementioned Grand Cru, finishing more linear and correct. Still, this should give up to 20 years' drinking pleasure.

Burghound (93)

Firm reduction renders the nose unreadable at present. More interesting are the strikingly textured, if not particularly concentrated, flavors that possess a surprisingly supple mid-palate before tightening up on the firm and youthfully austere finale where a more prominent touch of warmth slowly emerges. This needs to develop better depth and I would note that the warmth is sufficiently noticeable that I would suggest serving this on the cooler side.
