The fine, peachy nose leads you into this massively structured and really concentrated Mosel GG, which is very mineral, with austere elegance at the very long finish.
A little more on the fruity side than the Röttgen, with an interesting composition of apple, grapefruit and gooseberry accompanied by ripe acidity and subtle bitter piquancy. As to be expected from a vineyard with a wealth of slate, a rocky minerality creeps up on the finish.
Well-kept spontaneous nose with herbs, ripe vineyard peach, apple and stony notes, slatey spice, also floral. Relaxes on the palate with balanced, soft acidity, some apple, citrus fruit and green walnut, mineral tones, good substance and length.
Precise and elegant on the nose, the 2020 Uhlen GG reveals a still phenolic structure and a still drying finish but with good fruit intensity and salinity.
