More evident but not intrusive wood can be found on the earth and sauvage-infused dark currant scents. There is excellent volume to the rich, punchy and quite powerful larger-bodied flavors that conclude in a balanced, moderately austere and rustic finale that displays very fine depth and persistence. This is a seriously good Nuits villages and well-worth investigating.
