Pungent aromas of wood and reduction precede the gorgeously textured medium weight flavors that also exude a prominent bead of minerality on the equally firm, moderately austere and impressively persistent finish that displays focused power. This too contrasts a velvety mid-palate with a robust but importantly, not rustic finale. Excellent.
