The 1978 Richebourg reveals a medium ruby color, with a blossoming, still unevolved and youthful bouquet of sweet black fruits, minerals, smoke, soy sauce, and spices. In the mouth, the wine is full-bodied, with plenty of concentration, good acidity, firm tannins, and a rich, long finish. Amazingly, it has still not reached full maturity. This wine should turn out to be profound.
