Avis professionnels

James Suckling (95)

94-95
A light and very juicy wine with solid, fine-grained tannins. Red plums and cherries with touches of cedar, minerals and graphite. Fine tannins on the medium-bodied palate. Firm, succulent and linear. Refined and bright in the finish. 56.3% cabernet sauvignon, 29.2% merlot and 14.5% cabernet franc

Vinous (92)

90-92
The 2024 La Chapelle de La Mission Haut Brion is soft, open-knit and juicy, all qualities that will make it a fine choice for drinking on release. Unusually, Cabernet Sauvignon takes the lead in 2024. It's a style that works quite well. Macerated cherry, plum, spice, new leather and tobacco all build nicely in the glass.

Jeb Dunnuck (92)

90-92
Based on 56.3% Cabernet Sauvignon, 29.2% Merlot, and the balance Cabernet Franc, the 2024 La Chapelle De La Mission Haut-Brion is well-made and should be outstanding, with a pure, medium-bodied, elegant, and finesse-driven style. Ripe red and black fruits, leafy tobacco, and some loamy earth notes all shine here, and it has fine tannins, juicy, integrated acidity, and just a charming, satisfying style.

Decanter (90)

Sweet and creamy rose petal scents on the nose, smells floral and nicely scented with lots of red cherry. Succulent and streamlined, this has a delicate core of juicy strawberry fruit with a creamy undertone. Finishes saline with bite and some toasted nuts as well as tobacco and liquorice. Tannins are a touch chewy bringing density and flesh to the palate with a direct line of acidity which keeps things lifted and focussed. Unfussy, pure and easy to drink. 3.67pH. 4.9% press.

Falstaff (92)

Dark ruby garnet, opaque core, purple reflections, delicate edge brightening. Floral nuances, a hint of raspberries, fresh red cherries, notes of orange zest. Medium complexity, blackberries, fresh structure, fine acidity, cherries on the finish, already well developed.
