Cask sample. Mid cherry red. Inviting dark-red fruit, so fragrant, the oak adding just a hint of sweet spice. More savoury on the palate, the tannins dry and nicely judged to support the fruit. Packed with flavour and should age very well as it is young now but already in balance. (JH)
