2023 was a bountiful vintage for the Côte de Beaune. Thanks to a warm summer and timely rainfall, the grapes grew healthy and ripe, and yields recovered after 2021, when the region suffered from frost. In Vincent Girardin’s “Meursault Villages Vieilles Vignes,” the old vines transform their richness not into heaviness, but into concentration. Enjoy this Meursault, which combines aromas of ripe garden fruit with the nutty depth characteristic of this village, as well as the freshness inherent in all Burgundy Chardonnays from 2023. Best enjoyed between 2025 and 2035.
