Wafting from the glass with aromas of clear honey, golden orchard fruit, white flowers, nutmeg and preserved citrus, the 2020 Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru is medium to full-bodied, ample and textured, marrying fine grip and energy with a rather charming, open profile. This is another cuvée that I suspect will tighten up with another winter on the lees.
