Louis Billard's second wine, the 2023 “Saint-Romain”, has been released. In this vintage, the white wine boasts a truly exquisite flavor. Billard, who completed an internship at Domaine de la Romanée-Conti before launching his own brand in 2022, quickly earned a reputation for himself. Critics note that his 2023 white wine represents another step forward compared to his debut wine. Saint-Romain is located in a cool, high-altitude part of the Côte de Beaune, and the characteristics of this high-altitude terroir are clearly reflected in the wine. Expect this Chardonnay to offer not so much fullness as intensity.
