The 2023 Saint-Aubin Compendium is a blend of several lieux-dits, as the name implies. It has a delightful bouquet with impressive mineralité for this level. The palate is well-balanced with good concentration, citrus-fresh with a touch of pepperiness on the finish. This will be "ready to rumble" early.
Smoky aromas of green apple, citrus and mineral reduction are complemented by super-sleek and more voluminous flavors that possess fine intensity on the saline-inflected, balanced and lingering finish. A few short years of keeping should see this at its best.
7 plots, covering two sectors picked at different times. Clean, clear-cut fruit, chiselled, a lime note in the background, but clearly ripe enough fruit throughout. Slightly saline to finish. This is rather fine in its understated style.
