The year 2024 proved to be a difficult one for all of Burgundy. In addition to cool and rainy weather, there was also the threat of powdery mildew, and winemakers had to work hard in the vineyards to bring in a healthy harvest. For the Tortochot estate, which has been practicing organic farming since 2013, this year also required constant vigilance. The “Gevrey-Chambertin Vieilles Vignes 2024” wine is made from grapes grown on old vines, and this played a key role. Thanks to the deep root system and high concentration, the wine exhibits excellent balance this year, when excessive yields became a problem. Compared to the warm vintages of recent years, you’ll enjoy a fresher and more precise style. Recommended for drinking between 2026 and 2034.
