Cask sample. Medium intensity of colour but dark in hue. Vibrant dark-red fruits like raspberry and blackberry combined with fine notes of spice, even a hint of something woody, like sawn timber (but not particularly oaky). Silky and more scented on the palate, rather delicate and pretty but with impressive length and freshness. The empty glass is beautifully fragrant.
