This Pinot Noir was produced from the 6.1-hectare La Tâche monopole located in Côte de Nuits and produced and bottled by Domaine de la Romanée-Conti.
The 2018 growing season was a turbulent period that spanned six months between March and September. This was due to mildew, heat waves, storms, high humidity, and grapevines that matured faster than expected. The harvest was one of the most precocious of the last fifty years, and yields were good in Burgundy. A total of 14,275 bottles were harvested from La Tâche.
Decanting is recommended when drinking this young wine. It is best enjoyed between 2028 and 2060.
