The 2021 growing season in Margaux provided ideal ripening conditions: a warm, dry summer, followed by the all-important September rains. For Château Maresco St. Exupéry, this led to a concentrated Cabernet Sauvignon with excellent structure. The Zuger family estate is located almost next door to Château Margaux and benefits from the same gravelly soils that characterize this prestigious appellation. 2021 was a particularly successful year for a third growth such as Malescot, where careful selection and careful extraction resulted in a wine that combines power and elegance.
