2010 was a magnificent vintage for Bordeaux. On the Right Bank, the growing season was marked by dry weather and abundant sunshine, which allowed for the production of small but concentrated berries with a naturally high sugar content. At Château la Confession in Saint-Émilion, managed by Jean-Philippe Janoueix, these conditions allowed for the creation of a wine that is more powerful than restrained, with Merlot predominating in the blend alongside Cabernet Franc. Compared to lighter vintages, this wine offers a firmer structure and greater richness; the red plum jam and spice aromas characteristic of this château are accentuated by dense tannins. This is a vintage capable of long-term aging.
An absolutely stunning wine from the Janoueix family, this dense, full-bodied, wonderfully floral and blueberry/blackberry-scented wine shows some toasty vanillin, but then hits the palate with a full-bodied thunder and cascade of glycerin and fruit in its luscious personality. Captivating and seductive, thick, juicy, full-bodied and pure, this is a beautiful St.-Emilion fruit bomb.
Solid and structure with mineral and blueberry character. Long and silky. Intense and balanced. Confession of high quality here.
