Ampeleia 2016

2016 was a successful year for all of Tuscany. Thanks to a warm and stable growing season, the grapes ripened fully, while the alcohol content remained within acceptable limits. The Ampeleia Winery is located in the Maremma, on the coast of southern Tuscany, and the 2016 vintage perfectly embodies the winery’s style. It is expected to be a wine distinguished not so much by its fullness as by its clarity and freshness. Compared to hotter years, this wine comes across as balanced and refined. Although this vintage deserves long-term aging, it can certainly be enjoyed now when paired with suitable dishes.
