Classic ruby. Toast, earth and lovely spice notes combine with medium weight, tight, slightly lean flavors of good refinement and quality length. The nose has a slight bacon fat and charcoal quality to it though the balance and persistence are both impressive. In short, there is a bit more toast than I personally prefer but there is no question that the underlying material is first rate.
