A perfumed nose combines notes of spice and menthol with those of a broad range of red berry fruits. There is good detail and a lovely sense of energy to the medium weight flavors that culminate in a dusty and moderately austere finish where the supporting tannins seem to lack just a bit of overall phenolic maturity. I would be inclined to drink this on the early side as I fear that it will eventually dry out before all of the structure is resolved. In short this is acceptable but no better, particularly for a grand cru.
