Cask sample. Lightish crimson. Peppery and seems a touch stemmy though I don’t know if there was any whole bunch here – a sort of leafy spice. Beautifully fine tannins, elegant structure, with the fruit to balance. Not as good as the Drouhin Clos de Bèze. But great length. (JH)
