Moderate wood suffuses the cool and ripe nose of restrained dark berry fruit aromas that are liberally laced with earth, forest floor and overt sauvage elements. There is a lovely mid-palate mouthfeel to the beautifully tension-filled flavors that possess exquisite poise due to the lovely interplay between the fruit, density, structure and acidity on the impressively persistent finale. Lovely stuff that should also repay mid-term keeping
A pretty light to mid purple, as always a wine which comes over as more discreet than the Gevrey Vieilles Vignes. The nose though is delicious in its delicacy, light raspberry and rose petals, with a fine persistence.
