There is nothing shy about the 2017 Chardonnay Estate! It bursts from the glass with a rip-snorting, beautifully boisterous nose of warm apple pie, peach cobbler and pink grapefruit with hints of cedar, lime blossoms, lightly browned toast and crème caramel. The medium to full-bodied palate delivers great texture and tension, giving mouth-filling apple and citrus flavors and finishing on a lingering savory note. Yum!
This packs juicy blackberry and boysenberry flavors together, along with licorice, apple wood and tar notes. On the extracted side, but shows brambly energy throughout for balance. The fruit persists on the finish.
Plenty of blueberry, blackcurrant, spearmint and mint aromas. Medium body and extremely fine tannins. Firm and toned. Really subtle and racy. Refined and focused. Restrained. This is very polished. Fresh. Want to drink it now, but a couple of years will help.
The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate is an attractive, racy wine with plush fruit, soft contours and tons of sheer immediacy. Sweet red berry fruit, floral notes, spice and mint are all nicely lifted in this enticing, mid-weight Cabernet Sauvignon from Staglin. The 2017 offers lovely freshness and aromatic presence in a medium-bodied Cabernet that can be enjoyed with minimal cellaring.
