The 2023 Caillottes has a bright and sunny disposition. Tasted from tank, two months before bottling, it is a silken, round and full style that partially aged in cigar-shaped barrels and concrete. This is eminently approachable and very finely textured. It displays lovely chalky notes that coat the palate with a fine, powdery texture. An early harvest helped retain acidity, while the chalkiness provides freshness and line. The finish has a lightly herbal nose of elderflower and boxwood.
