Avis professionnels

Robert Parker (94)

Unwinding in the glass with aromas of dark berries, licorice, cherries and spices, the 2022 Gazin is medium to full-bodied, ample and fleshy, with excellent depth at the core, sweet tannins and a long, expansive finish. Despite the drought, the vineyards performed better in 2022 than in 2020 at this address, and the result is one of the better vintages for Gazin in recent years.

James Suckling (96)

A very juicy and nicely chewy young red with black berry, chocolate and cedar aromas and flavors. Medium-bodied with integrated tannins and a fresh and persistent finish.

Jancis Robinson (16.50)

94% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc and 3% Cabernet Sauvignon.
Scented and lifted with serious chewiness. Lots of extraction here – clearly a wine made for the long term. Thick! (JR)

Vinous (95)

The 2022 Gazin is seriously impressive. Elegant and lifted, the 2022 is one of the most refined, understated wines in all of Pomerol. Bright red-toned fruit, blood orange peel, chalk and white pepper lend brilliance throughout. Readers will find a Pomerol built on persistence, energy and mid-weight structure more than size. Tasted two times.

Jeb Dunnuck (94)

Lots of spiced black cherries, currants, chocolate, and spicy notes emerge from the 2022 Château Gazin, a richer, medium to full-bodied Pomerol with plenty of mid-palate depth, building tannins, and outstanding length. The tannins will need to be watched here, but this is clearly an outstanding wine in the making.
