A reserved, cool and inexpressive nose requires aggressive swirling to eventually liberate its high-toned aromas of essence of red cherry, just turned earth and plenty of sauvage nuances. There is absolutely superb intensity to the super-sleek texture of the broad-shouldered flavors thanks to the fine-grained tannins that also shape the moderately austere and equally long finish. This is genuinely stunning though very much built-to-age.
