The 1985 displays fine depth and richness. Deep in color, with a weedy, herbaceous, cedary, black currant bouquet, it offers up a rich mouthful of succulent claret.

Lots of toasty oak notes add complexity to the spice and cassis flavors, but it's balanced and even delicate despite its richness.
