Tasted at BI Wine & Spirits' 10-Years-On tasting, the 2007 Gazin is a Pomerol that I had not tasted for several years. It has a refined bouquet, not intense or overly complex, but offering pretty truffle-tinged dark berry fruit and a hint of oyster shell. The palate is medium-bodied with light tannin, linear and masculine in style, tapering in towards a slightly mean finish that could have benefited from more flesh, pulling up short on the aftertaste.
Blackberry and coffee aromas lead to a full body, with a solid core of tannins and a medium, delicate finish. A little hollow in the midpalate, but clean and well-made.
