The “Puligny-Montrachet Les Folatières 1er Cru 2024” wine by Vincent Girardin is produced on one of the most notable Premier Cru plots in this village, growing on soils of marl and weathered limestone located above Puligny. “Les Folatières” is typically characterized by floral notes and pronounced minerality, but thanks to Girardin’s winemaking methods (use of native yeasts, limiting the proportion of new barrels to less than one-third, and extended aging on the lees in 228-liter barrels), the character of this terroir comes through particularly vividly. It is recommended to let this wine “rest” for a while. Enjoy it between 2027 and 2036.
