Seña 2020 is a red Bordeaux-style blend produced in the Aconcagua Valley region of Chile; it was made by Viña Seña on the hills above Ocoa. The 2020 growing season in Chile was marked by extreme heat and drought; in response, the winemaking team conducted an early harvest during the second week of March, one week earlier than in 2019. Additionally, the proportion of Malbec was increased to preserve acidity and vibrancy of aroma. This strategy proved successful, resulting in an alcohol content of 13.5%, a moderate level that is low by the valley's standards for a warm year.

Fermentation took place primarily in stainless steel tanks, with 10% fermented in concrete eggs. It was then aged in barrels for 22 months, with 90% aged in French oak barrels (78% of which were new) and 10% in large 2,500-liter foudres. A foudre is a large cask that enriches the wine's texture without imparting strong oak aromas. The wine was bottled in February 2022, with approximately 100,000 bottles produced.

Francisco Baettig, who has defined the style of Seña over the past two decades, served as the winemaker here. The grapes were cultivated using biodynamic farming methods, as has been the practice at this winery since 2005.
