The expressive 2023 Sauvignon opens with a spicy blend of ginger shavings, lime zest, sage and crushed green apples. It displays wonderful depth and concentration, all framed by brisk acidity, with tart orchard fruits and sour citrus tones that slowly saturate. Juicy acidity maintains fantastic energy as a lemony concentration resonates and nuances of mint carry on through the dramatically long finish. This is proof positive that Sauvignon was the success story of the 2023 vintage. I can't wait to taste the single vineyards.
