A very fresh and bright if distinctly earthy nose is a layered combination of spice and earth nuances with those of mostly red berries and plum scents plus a hint of cassis. There is fine volume to the plush and velvety medium-bodied flavors that possess better depth and persistence on the youthfully austere and overtly rustic finale. This should repay 12 to 15 years of bottle aging.
