Savigny Champ Chevrey Monopole 2020 Domaine Tollot-Beaut

Champ Chevrey is a monopole, and the 2020 red wine produced by Domaine Tollot-Beaut is the only wine anyone can make from this small Savigny-lès-Beaune vineyard located within the Côte de Beaune.  This vineyard is located on the eastern edge of Savigny, a named climat within the larger Aux Forneaux.

The 2020 growing season brought an early ripening period to Burgundy, resulting in one of the earliest harvests on record, with the grapes harvested in remarkably pristine condition. These conditions added concentrated flavors to the Savigny Champ Chevrey wine: dark red fruit, a firm structure, and a higher concentration than the village appellation might suggest. Furthermore, thanks to the domaine's restraint with oak over the years, the oak notes remain in the background.
