Somewhat surprisingly, this is aromatically similar to the Morey "1er" though with the addition of more wood influence and in particular vanilla. The middle weight flavors are not particularly dense (though neither are they dilute) but they are refined thanks to the relatively fine-grained tannins shaping the balanced, delicious and lingering finale. This isn't classic but it's attractive in its fashion and a wine that should drink well on the earlier side if desired.
