A very ripe wine, Magdelaine's 1978 is jammy and intensely fruity, with a round, generous, nicely concentrated texture. Perhaps a little low in acidity, but generally well balanced, with a spicy, vanillin oakiness, this is a forward-styled Magdelaine.
