One of the finest examples I tasted from this vintage (which is not nearly as bad as many had predicted), the light gold-colored 2000 Lafaurie-Peyraguey makes a big, tactile impression on the palate. Characteristics of tropical fruit, caramel, orange marmalade, and buttered citrus emerge from this full-bodied, evolved Sauternes.
