Chateau Haut Beausejour
Chateau Haut Beausejour
Château Haut‑Beauséjour is located in the Saint‑Estèphe appellation of Bordeaux. This 20-hectare estate was formed by combining the former Châteaux Picard and Beauséjour in 1992 under owner Louis Roederer. The vineyard is planted roughly 50% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Malbec and 5% Petit Verdot on gravel and clay soils. Winemaking is traditional, using large wood vats and ageing in about 30–35% new French oak barrels for approximately 12 months.
