The 1998 Giscours is a supple, consumer-friendly, commercially-styled offering with considerable appeal. Jammy black fruits intermingle with spicy oak in this medium-bodied, straightforward yet plump, cedary, tasty, savory effort.
Coffee, spice and meat on the nose, with a hint of plum. Medium-bodied, with slightly angular and dusty tannins and a medium finish. A little earthy and gamy, as always.
Rene Gabriel rates this wine 16/20 points.
