Temptress 2021 is a white wine made from Cattleya's Chardonnay grapes grown in California and vinified by Bibiana González Rave in Sonoma County. This wine belongs to the Collection series, and the names of the wines in this series are taken from chapters in the story of the protagonist's journey. The flavor profile of this wine leans more toward the firm side rather than the smooth side of Californian Chardonnay.

For the 2021 vintage, Sonoma County grape growers faced their third consecutive year of drought, and the effects of this are clearly evident in the glass. Stable daytime temperatures and cool nights allowed the fruit to ripen uniformly while retaining its acidity. Yields were below average. This was partly due to water conservation measures and partly because the clusters and berries themselves were simply smaller. The lower the juice content of the berries, the higher the concentration of the wine.

Harvesting began early across the entire North Coast region, and the harvest of the Sonoma County variety was completed by mid-October. For a year affected by drought, the season concluded without any major issues, a truly favorable outcome for the grape growers.

The result is a Chardonnay wine with true character. It is characterized by concentrated stone fruit aromas, a solid acid backbone, and the texture that Bibiana acquires through careful handling in the cellar. It is one of the most compelling Californian Chardonnays of this vintage.
