In 2023, the Côte de Beaune produced a bountiful harvest thanks to weather conditions that saw a warm summer give way to cooler spells. As a result, the Chardonnay developed a balanced character, combining both ripeness and acidity. In Bonneau du Martray, these conditions were ideal for the steep, west- and south-facing slopes of the Corton hill. The “Corton-Charlemagne 2023” vividly reflects this balance: concentration born of warmth and freshness brought by cool nights. Enjoy a wine with the structure characteristic of this producer, rather than the austere style typical of wines from cooler vintages. The grapes are harvested by hand, fermentation takes place in barrels, and aging on the lees lasts the standard 12 months.
