Lots of black plums, dark cherry compote, baking spices, vanilla and resin. Full body and tons of rich dark fruit, but it's so well supported by a stream of fresh acidity and a firm tannin backbone. Solidly built, with a racy iron note that frames the core of red currant, damson plum and cherry fruit nicely, letting light tobacco, pepper and sanguine details flitter through the background. Shows some latent grip, so cellar a touch.
