Very pale brick colour going brown. The nose is fading a little with notes of dried fig, forest floor and a little gamey / meatiness. The faintest remnants of silky tannins remain on the palate supporting some dried fruit and tea leave flavours. Medium to high acidity still provides some freshness, though this wine has topped its pinnacle and is on its way back down the mountain. Long earthy finish.
Concentrated ripe raspberry and chocolatey flavors characterize this wine, which has the firm tannins and plump structure to demand threer or four yea rs before it's what it should be.
