The 2019 Echezeaux Grand Cru was showing especially well when I visited, bursting with aromas of cherries, rose petals, sweet spices, musk, blood orange and burning embers. Full-bodied, fleshy and sumptuous, with lively acids, lovely purity of fruit and powdery tannins, it's long and expansive.
