The 2014 Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Les Suchots has a very poised, floral bouquet with much more complexity and intensity than the 2014 Vosne-Romanée Chaumes. The palate is medium-bodied with crisp tannin, very structured and firm in the mouth with a long and persistent, saline finish. It feels like a very "correct" Suchots at the moment, but I envisage that it will gain weight and the vineyard's trademark opulence with time in bottle. This is excellent.
Bright crimson. Bright redcurrant fruit with great energy. Lively and very polished. Solid underneath. Lots of pimento spice and grounded stuff.
