The sophomore 2015 Gevrey Chambertin Clos du Chateau was not tasted at the domaine, but at a merchant's London primeur tasting. It has a perfumed bouquet with red cherries and wild strawberry aromas that are nicely defined, pretty and comely. The palate is medium-bodied with crisp acidity, very detailed for a village cru, tart in the mouth with a bright and energetic, almost candied finis
Fresh and bright, sweet fruit. Edgy. Quite cool ? none of the richness of 2015.
