An ultra-fresh, cool and restrained nose combines notes of just sliced green apple, lemon-lime, white flowers and a whiff of mineral reduction. There is again excellent tension to the tautly muscular if not super-dense medium weight flavors that culminate in a firmly mineral-driven, moderately austere, linear and youthfully austere finale. This serious effort will need extended cellaring to realize its full potential. I would add that the 2020 version of the Clair CC appears to be one of his best in a number of years.
