This wine has always been an attractive, fragrant, classic Pauillac with scents of cedar, spice, and berry fruit. Although not the most concentrated wine from the appellation, it is a medium-bodied, elegant example of the vintage.
Tasted from magnum. Dark ruby-garnet in color. Rich and slightly stinky, with earth, currant and tobacco aromas. Medium- to full-bodied, with well-integrated tannins and a pretty currant flavor.
Rene Gabriel rates this wine 16/20 points.
